(noun) Strong and inspirational men who support Movember and are committed to change the face of men’s health. Mo Bros register at, grow a moustache for the month of November to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues during the month of November. Mo Bros start Movember 1st clean-shaven, then grow and groom their Mo, for the rest of the month, raising money along the way.

Above is the a basic definition of the term MoBro. But a MoBro doesn’t just exist during the month of Movember. Being a MoBro is a year round obligation.

It’s an obligation to look after your health and general well-being, supporting your fellow Bros and flying the flag of Movember all year long.

I first started my journey with Movember in 2007 by just growing a moustache and that was about it. Now, in 2014, I have thrust myself completely and whole heartedly into the cause. With two Auckland Man of Movember (2012 & 2013) titles under my belt, I am firmly a member of this illustrious worldwide movement that is continually changing the face of men’s health.

On average men die at a significantly younger age than women. The average life expectancy for New Zealand men is almost four  years less than women (presently 79.3 years compared to 83), however there is no biological reason for this. The reasons for the poor state of men’s health in New Zealand and around the world are numerous and complex.

The Movember Foundation makes a huge difference for men’s heath research and action on a global scale. Just check out the info below:
